Tổng quan
Silver ions from a silver cyanide or silver nitrate bath are reduced at the cathode, depositing a thin, bright layer of metallic silver. Silver plating provides excellent electrical conductivity, antimicrobial properties, and a lustrous finish. The process requires careful control of current density and bath composition.

Ví dụ thực tế
Silverware, jewelry, musical instruments, and electrical contacts are commonly silver-plated for appearance and conductivity.
Tầm quan trọng công nghiệp
Silver plating is used in electrical connectors, bearings, mirrors, and tableware. Silver's highest electrical conductivity makes it ideal for contacts.
